I was getting email alerts about new KudoZ entries just fine, ever since I registered and set the alerts. However, there were two new entries in the English-Portuguese board in the last couple of hours, and still no sign of the email alerts for these.

: Can you contact me, Yuri, and share with me the links to the questions for which you were not notified? This will help me to look into this further. Post them to the discussion section or email me directly at [email protected]. Thanks!

: @Lucia, I've just noticed that, like Yuri, I also haven't received any notifications for many of the Kudoz terms posted yesterday (starting at the "long and short positions" question). That's strange, as I had been regularly receiving these notifications.

That's right! "stored value" (ENG->POR) was the last entry I got an email for.

: Thanks Cecilia! "Other" is not one of your reported fields. You have chosen to be notified of questions in your interest fiels, https://www.proz.com/dashboard/kudoz/, and those are being sent to you according to the mail monitor.

Oh, I see! I chose to be notified of questions in my specialty, working and interest fields. I didn't think of "Other" as a field. Anyway, I've changed my settings to be notified for "All fields". Let's see if it works now. Thanks, Lucia!

: Hi Elizabeth. You have chosen not to be notified of new KudoZ questions: https://www.proz.com/dashboard/kudoz/ . Make sure you change this setting, and select "Immediate alerts" for pair-specific alerts. Hope it helps!

Discussion
Also, it seems I've been receiving all Kudoz questions as well!
- Lucia's "Friday test: old interface" entry
- Maria's latest entry (about her language suddenly changing to Dutch).
I didn't receive notifications for any of the other entries.
And I too received yesterday, at once, all "pending" Kudoz questions that I hadn't been timely notified about in the last couple of days.
Edit: I use (and have always used) the old interface
I will also get the language issue checked. You are not the only one who reports such a change. Can you tell me if you clicked on some email link that took you to the site in Dutch?
- Alert for a new KudoZ question
- Alert for a discussion entry in a discussion I'm tracking
- Alert for an answer in a KudoZ I posted
- Alert for a peer grade in an answer I posted
(and some of the forum alerts too)
If you realize a notification you should have received was not sent to you, I'd appreciate you letting me know here or via email if you want, [email protected]. In the meantime, I'll continue running some tests, so I apologize in advance if you get alerts for dummy KudoZ posts.
Also, please note the following:
1) All my settings are/have always been adjusted as per your instructions;
2) I should have received notifications for all entries made after expressisverbis' first entry (made yesterday, Mar. 5), but that's not what happened. After this specific entry, I was only notified about 1) your "old interface" entry; 2) Nick's "cognitive pathways" entry; and 3) the latest expressisverbis' entry made a about an hour ago -- meaning I wasn't notified about any of the (many) other entries made by you, Matheus and Yuri.
3) I've also checked and can confirm that no notification emails ended up in my spam folder.
That's all for now :)
Today I received notifications from colleagues on one of the latest Kudoz questions and even on this discussion.
Has the problem of not receiving notifications of "agrees" and posts in discussions finally been solved? I hope so!

Can you checked the spam folder just in case?

It's worth noting that the settings on my dashboard are just like you described here, in the discussion section.
To receive an alert of a new KudoZ question:
https://www.proz.com/dashboard/kudoz/
- KudoZ notifications --> I want to receive KudoZ notifications
- Notifications about new KudoZ questions --> I want to be notified of new KudoZ questions
- Language pair-specific notification preferences --> Immediate alerts
To receive an alert for a discussion entry:
- Updates to KudoZ questions I contributed to --> I want to be notified of updates to questions I have contributed to
- Updates to KudoZ questions I have asked --> I want to be notified of updates to questions I have asked
New interface entry: not received
And this is the first time I've received a notification on a discussion board in a long time!
For the record, I've received a notification for Nick's comment, but not for yours.
Regards
NT
