故事板，英文“Storyboard”，有时译为“故事图”，原意是安排电影拍摄程序的记事板，指在影片的实际拍摄或绘制之前，以图表、图示的方式说明影像的构成，将连续画面分解成以一次运镜为单位，并且标注运镜方式、时间长度、对白、特效等，也有人将故事板称为“可视剧本”（visual script），让导演、摄影师、布景师和演员在镜头开拍之前，对镜头建立起统一的视觉概念。在电影拍摄期间，为了让一个庞大的剧组协调工作，那么，解释剧本、解释导演意图和工作要求的最办法就是“看”，当一场戏的场景动作、拍摄、布景等因素比较复杂而难以解释时，故事板可以很轻松地让整个剧组建立起清晰的拍摄概念。今天，故事板是动画片、电影、电视剧、广告、MTV等各种影像的制作工具和制作环节之一，是商业电影制作流程中控制美术、摄影、布景和场面调度的重要辅助手段。

| Thanks. It is just that the word "expression" is not something that would normally be used in such a context. "Expression" is more of an emphatic word in English, and we would use a word that is more technical, which is why I asked if the subject deals with spoken or written expression, or both? |
| I can not say what exactly the course deals with, if there is no description in your documents, but you do say "expression and communication techniques/skills" in English (or am I wrong ?). |
| It can be said, but as a title for a university course it sounds a little old fashioned, or like something related to an arts degree. For a technical subject they would not really use this term, though it would be understood for the sake of a translation. |

| I am aware that this is a subject not traditionally forming part of the science of engineering and that other modules can be taken, but what i mean is that "expression" sounds very odd as the name of a module, unless it was actually for an arts degree, i.e. in the context it is still odd. So as I originally asked, does this subject cover written or spoken expression? |
