我理解的Authorized prescriber是那些经有关当局授权可以为病人开某些药物处方的人员，不一定是执照的医生。有些限制性使用的药物，General Practitioner也无权使用，无论他是否有行医执照。

: 有些讲英文的国家有行医执照的医生才叫作 GP.只有GP或专科医生才可以为病人开药方，至于护士，药剂师，物理治疗家，营养家，正骨师等等，都不能够开药方的。
