Good evening everyone,
Still working on a cartoon.
The word is "snakeroot".
Context :
Ah, Rauvolfia Serpentina, otherwise known as snakeroot.
I have found the word on Wikipedia, but I do not know of a "familiar" word to describe it. Since it is supposed to be in the script of the cartoon, I do not want to give the latin name for it. But I cannot find a "regular, non latin" word to translate it.

Hi Cecile, I work in an organic shop where we deal with phytotherapy too, here you can find a link eplaining the alias of this root.
Mind these are "scientific" names, FX's "racine de serpent" sound sexier in a general text of course.

Désolée pour les liens provenant de sources peu officielles mais ces dernières semblaient mieux adaptées à la question (contexte: animation) que les sites et ouvrages de référence spécialisés.
