dispositif / contact antisabotage

As Elysée quite correctly says, 'antisabotage' is one of the ways this is often translated.

The problem when it is abbreviated to just 'tamper' like this, instead of 'tamper-switch' etc. (and of course it should really be ANTI-tamper!), is that you can't be sure exactly what type of device it is, hence my suggestion of the non-committal 'dispositif'

If you DO know what sort of thing it is (very often a microswiitch = contact), of course you should use the appropriate word to go with.

Merci.

agree Tony M : The last two are not applicable, but the first ones are viable possibilities

anti-sabotage
