I've come across "liquide incongélable" here: http://www.granddictionnaire.com/ficheOqlf.aspx?Id_Fiche=847... (but to be honest, from the description, isn't this just antifreeze / antigel?)
In any case, I suspect what I'm looking for isn't « testeur de saumure » although, who knows - maybe they use the same tools to test air conditioners and pickle jars.

je ne sais pas si c'est de la saumure ou du glycol-éthylène ("genuine Panasonic coolant"), mais on rajoute de l'eau et on teste la densité avec un densimètre à flotteur, comme les pèse-antigel.

my point is that if the document mentions "brine tester - glycol ethylene", it means that the concentration of the brine is tested in the same way, i.e. with a densimeter

Voici une autre référence à "brine" dans le texte: Has the water chiller parameter been set despite the fact that the unit is a brine chiller?
Donc - on traduit "brine" avec antigel, pas saumure - ou non?
