Je traduis un règlement afférent à la protection du personnel sur des chantiers et autres plateformes (chutes...).
"Edges of permanent walkways, platforms, and floors that expose personnel to a fall hazard of 4 feet (1.2 m) or more to a lower level must be protected by a standard guardrail system. The working edges of standard loading docks and rail platforms are excluded from this requirement."
Je ne suis pas certain que l'expression "working edges" ait le sens de "façonnage de bords" dans ce contexte.

: I thought of that, but not too sure if it can be applied to railway platforms, and also, it is used with a slightly different meaning to refer to the edge of a lorry; couldn't find any concrete refs. to THIS context :-(
