Family-style house is used in a social care context in UK, not solely in real-estate:
"Abbeyfield UK is a registered national charity which provides 'FAMILY-STYLE' HOUSES where elderly people, who are unable or unwilling to live alone, can find support and companionship without losig their independence and privacy. Most Abbeyfield houses accommodate between eight and twelve residents in a relaxed and homely setting."

"Aspley ward is made up of 3 separate local authority estates, which are mainly FAMILY STYLE HOUSES with large gardens, which were built in the ‘Garden City’ style. The ward is bounded on the North side by one of the main access roads into Nottingham from the M1 North and the West."

"The Residential Building Construction industry has had its foundations rocked by the poor market conditions that have affected the UK economy over the past five years. Operators construct FAMILY HOMES ranging from bungalows to high-rise flats."
" There are popular areas for FAMILY-STYLE HOUSES along and in the roads off the main routes leading out of Bolton, to the north off Blackburn Road and to the west off Chorley New Road."

: Lara, I am afraid that the topic is not real estate related, but rather to do with the social care system

This would still work ia social care context. http://www.ofsted.gov.uk/filedownloading/?id=1301081&type=1&...
// Please see my added links, I am afraid you seem to have misjudged English usage here. My term is used often in social housing context.

: I'd agree with Laura. "Type" sounds wrong, "style" sounds more appropriate. I don't want to say that "Community houses" is wrong (it's an alternative), but it suggests a different style of care.

Family-type homes

Family-type Homes for Adults (FTH)* are private homes which provide an atmosphere of family living for adults who are unable to live on their own.
Discussion
entered the Romanian language as a translation from English into Romanian
services dealing with children in care have recently (4-10 years ago)
restructured by following the British model. In doing so, some of the
En-Ro translations of certain words could not be made word by word
and it could be the case with "case the tip familial"
in relation to your references rather than anything thereby I chose to be
neutral to your answer
Many regards.
