entered the Romanian language as a translation from English into Romanian

Lara The funny thing is that both the Moldavian and the Romanian
services dealing with children in care have recently (4-10 years ago)
restructured by following the British model. In doing so, some of the
En-Ro translations of certain words could not be made word by word
and it could be the case with "case the tip familial"

However, I do not understand why this term would be so relevant to context because there is not much else in English that could possibly be used with the same nuance. i.e. this is a pretty general term to which the context could not really affect the translation that much, although I realise many contexts would require a variation in style. Anyway, I appreciate your comment.

@ Razvan Please see my added links. As you will see, my suggested terms are quite often used in a social context and are not solely limited to commercial real estate. "Unfortunately" you seem to have misjudged English usage in this case.

The answer is as simple as this in my experience - type is slightly wrong here and sounds a bit odd. Residences can also be used, but I would go for one of these.

Family-style house is used in a social care context in UK, not solely in real-estate:

"Abbeyfield UK is a registered national charity which provides 'FAMILY-STYLE' HOUSES where elderly people, who are unable or unwilling to live alone, can find support and companionship without losig their independence and privacy. Most Abbeyfield houses accommodate between eight and twelve residents in a relaxed and homely setting."

agree Daisy Waites : I'd agree with Laura. "Type" sounds wrong, "style" sounds more appropriate. I don't want to say that "Community houses" is wrong (it's an alternative), but it suggests a different style of care.

We started working in Moldova in 2001, supporting children and carers in 29 established Family Type Homes that the Government had set up as alternatives to state institutions but where the children and their foster parents are still forgotten and neglected.
