Alpine Meadows
high-mountain meadows with low grasses. They are common in the Alps, the Caucasus, the Tien-Shan, Kamchatka, and other high-mountain regions that have a lot of snowfall. Alpine meadows have a dense carpet of short grass and abound in brightly colored flowering plants.
