Spanish term

doctrina

Spanish to English Law/Patents Business/Commerce (general)
From a bank's strategic planning process. Costa Rican Spanish.

What would be the appropriate translation in the following context?

Lo que la doctrina llama “Mass Customization”.

[...]

De igual forma, el equipo gerencial ha seguido un proceso riguroso de discusión de cada una de los modelos estratégicos que existe en la **doctrina**, y ha ido diseñando el conocimiento y lenguaje común que ha servido de de base para este documento.

[...]

Este concepto es ampliamente aceptado en la **doctrina**, como se observa a seguido:

[...]

Esta posición también es soportada por la **doctrina** – subrayado es nuestro

Doctrine

I would go with doctrine, in the sense that it also refers to any set of policies or guid lines set by an organization.

You could also use guideline, outline, or something along those lines if it makes you feel more comfortable.
Note from asker:
Yes, indeed! However, and I don't know if it's just me, but it sounds so awkward however I try to word each of the above examples, especially with the definite article. Which doctrine? El mero mero? Thanks, Triston :)

agree Robert Forstag : I've seen it used similarly in legal texts, where I've also translated it "doctrine."

received wisdom

a typical phrase, where literature would speak of "the canon" business would speak of "received wisdom" if generalising or, if more particular references, probably "research"

The 'doctrine' referred to could be a 'strategic doctrine', as they talk about the 'strategic models' contained within it:

doctrine

Oxford Dictionary of the US Military:
doctrine

Home > Library > History, Politics & Society > US Military Dictionary

n.fundamental principles by which the military forces or elements thereof guide their actions in support of national objectives. Doctrine is authoritative but requires judgment in application.

I think that this is the definition that best fits here: Substituting the bold terms by (in this case) "The Company" and "its", respectively, fits exactly the bill.
