La campaña "La otra" del Ejercitó Zapatista de Liberación nacional EZLN encabezada por el Subcomandante Marco empezó su gira por toda México en enero 2006. Hasta Abril visitó muchas ciudades del sur del país, ocasionando en cada una gran movilización de diferentes sectores sociales y civiles, que se adquirieron a la campaña suscribiendo la declaración de un México distinto gobernado desde la base. Una vez llegado a la capital se silenciaron las voces de la campaña hasta que meses después el pueblo mexicano constató con desacierto el silencio.
