acompañen (in context)

I'm confused as to meaning of acompañen in my text. I'm aware of the usual meanings of accompany and attach but neither of these make sense here. I wondered (purely from context) if it could mean to see the posters for the topics covered. It's in Mexican Spanish and comes up in a letter to staff about information security training:

familiarise yourself with
Similar to Luis's suggestion, but maybe a more elegant way of expressing it.

: Perdón, pero vemos, en primer lugar, que se trata de una orden: acompañen. Además, no sabemos si efectivamente a anexan documentos.

learn about
Learn about the issues/matters. Let's not resort to literal translaton, since in this case, accompany would not make any sense.

: it is kind of an 'accompany', same expression is used in German, persons addressed are being told to (mentally) 'follow' the issues that will be posted

a veces se usa acompañar con el sentido de verificar, consultar.

: This is maybe a bit too colloquial given the context of the text

find out about/check the posters for details on the themes
I would say it's a question about finding out about the advertised themes and ensuring that they go for the adequate in-house training on security of information.

Reference:
acompañen
in previous experience with Mexican documents, the word 'acompañar' was used to mean "follow up", which could very well fit in the context given.
