Living room Dec 14, 2010

I work in the living room, on the sofa, by the fire. Sometimes I decamp to the dining room for a change of scenery. On very rare occasions, I'm allowed to borrow my husband's study!

Living room + bedroom ;) Dec 14, 2010

I am living alone. My TV watching, working, eating, sleeping room is my living room. All in one

Saludos desde ciudad Karaman-Anatolia
Anadolu-Karaman'dan selamlar

P.S: I am living in a 4 room house but use only 1 room!

Anywhere but the bedroom! Dec 14, 2010

I usually work in my office/studio, which is light and spacious, but I like migrating round the house with the seasons.

Recently I spent a week nursing a very sick rescue dog and moved the computer into the kitchen where she was installed by the Rayburn. Now it's so cold, that's where I'm staying!

Baby room Dec 14, 2010

This used to be my office before our baby came. My boy is now 16 months and still sleeping in our bedroom (the known long story of a new mommy spoiling her boy...).... till he is old enough to claim the room for himself I'll stay in his room (after that I'll move to the living room). But for now, its fun working among toys, staffed animals, and lots of noise making thingies... xD

in my office, but sometimes when I work in the evening, then the dining room table has to be converted to an office table:-)

Office Dec 14, 2010

I enjoy it so much! We used to live in a small flat, so I would work in the living room (desktop) and my husband would work in the kitchen (laptop).
But now we moved to a bigger house and each of us has his own office: it's so nice!

... I have a one-room apartment, so I don't have much choice. I usually work by my desk though, since working in bed does painful things to my back...

Living room Dec 14, 2010

My desk is just next to the doors leading to the terrace so I have a view of part of the garden when I look up from my work. Right now, it's completely snow-covered which is particularly nice. I have a spare room which I could use as a study, but it is not anywhere near as nice so I'm just going to stay in the living room.

External office Dec 14, 2010

I have rented an external office since I didn't want to work at home anymore. This is really nice since I have some real colleagues (shared office) now and can separate business and private life much better.

Bought first computer and printer 1991.
1996-present date: office/study (intended as 4th bedroom).
2011 onwards: moving to smaller house but will still use one of 3 bedrooms purely as an office.

Study Dec 14, 2010

I have a little office/study, which I cherish, as it is my 'girl-space' in a house full of boys of different ages! One wall is completely covered with bookshelves that contain my accumulated treasures from the last 18 years and my desk serves as my household administration centre, workstation and children's art table.
When I lean back a little and look out of the window, I can see the pebbly beach nearby and the Bristol Channel beyond.

I love working in there, it's a calm and tidy room, nice and warm and gives me time and space to think, read and learn.
But even so, it does sometimes get a little lonely in there, in which case the dining table is perfect!

Bedroom converted to study Dec 14, 2010

Book shelves overhead and bookcases on the floor, plus plural file cabinets, desks, chairs, and computers.

I had a couple of skylights installed 3 years ago, so now light streams in all day long. Nice view of grass and trees out the window.

It had better be nice - I spend more time here than I care to admit.

study/office mainly Dec 14, 2010

Hi everyone !

Well, I think I'm a bit like every one here. Most of time I work in my study (a spare room) but when I goes from a project to another without stopping, I like to go the living room or the kitchen to spend some time with my husband and be less lonely....
Also, depending on the complexity of the translation, I'll be looking for quietness (study) or not))
I also like to work from my bed sometime

I also like to work from my bed sometimes in the morning, but as it's already been said: not so good for our back....

Good day to all !
