Can someone come up with a clever trick to separate two different areas of a text (bold text and normal text) in order to be able to convert it into a comma- and/or tab-delimited text file?

Find all in Word
Jun 16, 2010
In Word, use Find with Select all (the actual option names might be different), and search for bold font (More - Format - Font - Bold). Once all the bold text is selected, copy it and paste to another Word file. Do the same with the non-bold text, adjusting your criteria in the Font dialog. You should have 2 Word files with columns of bold and non bold text respectively. Copy them to separate columns in an Excel file. Hope that works.

Simple trick
Jun 16, 2010
Simple search and replace:
1. Select bold formatting in the find field 2. Put ^&, in the replace field 3. Then, to get rid of the extra space, you can replace all commas followed by a space with just a comma.
