Another Golden Saturday for me!
Summer is lingering about,
delaying its time to depart…
another golden Saturday for me!
Sun bathing along the endless beach,
feeling the fresh water on my feet and legs
and the wind gently touching me…
Almost transparent green today, the tempting sea,
inviting me to get into the water for a swim
and feel the waves breaking over me …

Almost transparent green today, the tempting sea,
inviting me to get into the water for a swim
and feel the waves breaking over me …
Nearby, children playing by the shore
and looking far, very far away,
just a small sailboat can be seen...
And still walking along the endless beach,
I keep feeling… just thinking to myself,
another golden Saturday for me!!!

Los días veraniegos se prolongan
demorando su hora de partir...
¡Otro sábado glorioso para mí!
A lo largo de la playa interminable,
la brisa me acaricia, me besa tiernamente el sol,
y me deleita... la frescura del agua en su vaivén.
El mar, de un verde transparente hoy,
me invita a sentir sus olas al romper,
dejando un sabor a juventud sobre mi piel...
Sonrío y mi mirada contempla en derredor
los niños en la orilla... y mucho más allá,
un velero solitario meciéndose en la mar...
Y regreso por la playa interminable…
pensando, sintiendo a flor de piel,
¡Otro sábado glorioso para mí!

I am from India.I liked your poem.Though we are living in different countries, our culture, food habit, dressing pattern, religion all are different we all love sea, water, boats etc.It is amazing.

I have just read your poem, and I want to congratulate on you! it's beautiful, and what I like most is that it is about simple things, which, at the same time are great. Thank you for sharing it with us all. I'm from Argentina, and I also write poems, but in Spanish. Some day I will share one with you. Please, go on sharing with us.

That's exactly what I like to write about, simple daily things, that can be said in a meaningful way and at the same time transmit more deeply the pleasure or the sadness of certain situations.
I usually write in Spanish. This time it came out in English!
Yet, I still have a lot to learn!!!!
