Thank you very much, Port City さん and mmb42 さん, for your helpful comments and suggestions.
Marc Brunet Aug 9, 2014:
Apologies for this late comment. Following on from Port City's general point on the need for a neutral 'relative take' on 成果, 3 things in this passage strike me as running against the interpretation settled for. i) there has to be a good reason for the wording used: 成果のリンク先 not 成果へのリンク先; perhaps a closer look at the context might help; ii) 不都会な事柄 does apply to 成果のリンク先. so what to make of this? iii) 成果のリンク先 being so categorised is listed together with some pretty shady types of behaviour. We may dismiss those as irrelevant, but 成果のリンク先 is clearly lumped with 3 subjects of contention and issue, which suggests that this mention is not meant as a blithe reference to 'flight to glory'. So how could we reconcile the queried phrase with the context? Seems to me that "contributions to results" would to the job. What does every one think? :-)
Port City Aug 9, 2014:

pathway to success

I think you need to translate this more idiomatically with something like "pathway to success", "gateway to career achievement", "gateway to opportunity", "keys to success", etc.

individual performance

Since this query is still open, rewording the earlier proposal submitted in the discussion with this offer. リンク先 is too strongly anchored in the meaning of access link or url' to stretch it literally as I did with 'contribution to'. 'Individual performance' amounts to the same notion, but does so implicitly, while retaining the notion of specific origins/loci from which the collective result drew its strength. In this context, リンク先 is being used figuratively, equivalent to 'the ~ side of things'. 'Individual' retains the relative and comparison angle which is the basis upon which the 'awkward' developments/issues mentioned have arisen or may do so.
