I have worked as a freelance translator since before starting university, and have continued to this day for 6 years now. I have handled a wide variety of fields in this time, and consider myself versatile and flexible in any field, even if I may not have any prior experience. For my translations, I always make sure that the end product comes out as though the material was originally written in English. This requires careful consideration of many nuances in whatever language I'm translating from in order to make sure the same ideas come out in a way that is easily readable for an English speaker. It is important for me that nothing I produce gives any hint that it was not originally written in English, as too often it can be easy to produce word-for-word translations that can be disorienting for the reader.
